Had the dead pedal pop its' head yesterday. The handheld scanner shows P0121.

I thought I'd look at the codes by turning on and off 3 times.
Using that method I got : P1765 & P1693 ... but NOT the P0121

Using the hand held, I cleared codes, but the 1765 and 1693 didn't clear.

To address the first one (P0121), I will reset the APPS (TPS). Since this is the second time I've done this (happened about 6 weeks ago), could it ba a MAP sensor caused code? If so, is there maint I can do on the MAP at the same time (Anyone have links to info on the process)?

Not sure about the other codes (P1765 & 1693).

 

I know that :

P1765 Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL Circuit
P1693 DTC Detected in Companion JTEC Module

I know how they are listed, I just don't know what they mean or what to do about it.

 

After connecting the batteries, I checked the codes...
done ---- done

Then turned the key on and reset the apps.

Then looked at the codes again... P1765 showed up again.

 

i have run into the same problem. Genisys computer says 2 something code and key on off method says 1693. Cleared the codes with the computer but it did not erase the code stored in the truck with the key on off method.

 

P1765 Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL Circuit.
An open or shorted condition is detected in the
Transmission Relay control circuit. This relay supplies
power to the TCC.

 

Okay - talked w/the shop that built he trans. They put a jumper across the relay, so that code is normal for my trans...whew.
