Need to know how to bleed fuel system
Hey everybody, I have a question. I let somebody borrow my truck a while back and when I got it, the fuel gauge said 1/4 tank. Before I could make it to the gas station, it ran out. Now sometimes it takes FOREVER to start. It used to start as soon as you hit the key. I tried to bleed the injectors with the truck running, but I can't get to the one right there at the intake. Is there another way to bleed them, bc I don't know alot about diesels, and is there a tool I can use to get that injector. It has a banks high ram on it and it is in the way. Do I need to bleed something else??? Please help!

Any idea as to what it could be?? Once it starts, it runs great. The Edge monitor says I have around 15 psi fuel pressure. You just have to let it turn over awhile sometimes to start, which is very irritating since it used to not do that!
Does it do it all the time or only after it sits overnight? Have you tried to pull any codes?
Sometimes a hard starting issue can be a sign that the vp44 is going south, but that's usually when the truck is hot. If it happens when the truck sits overnight it could be the fuel system is loosing prime.

It varies when the truck does it, but it didnt do this until it ran out of fuel that one time. Thats why I hope its now the vp44. If that is going out, does it have any other symptoms?
