Need Help

Just changed fuel filter and truck won't start. I filled the canister with diesel fuel but still won't start. I bumped it over several times to get air out but no luck. Thinking air is in the lines but I can't seem to get it out. Please help.

Your going to need to crack a line at the injector where it goes into the vavle cover. Plus i would check your lift pump because it should have filled your canister up with the key on. crack loose the 1 or 3 line and have someone turn it over until fuel squirts out then shut the line

I thought it was but after going through post on here I don't think so. I can hear it but no fuel is comming out of the #1 injector fuel line when I try and start the truck.

Round #2 I am now looking for a lift pump. Hoefully a local parts store will have one CHEAP (at least I am not looking for a lift pump..........yet!!!!!!!!)

Just installed a carter lift pump and truck still will not crank. With the filter housing a little loose a little fuel squrited out when truck was cranked so I quickly tightened the lid back on. I then pulled the fuel line going into #1 injector and fuel squirted out when truck was cranked all of which did not happen before I installed the lift pump, so I know it needed a new one. Does it take a while to get air out of the lines? I tried cranking it four or five times and no luck!! Any advice??

If your geting fuel to the injectors you are on your way, try holding the go pedal to the floor while it is cranking to let the air through the system. It may even start and then die once or twice but it will go.

Finally got the new lift pump on and the truck is running!!!!!! I just still do not know why the FP gauge I have (JUST SITTING in the a-pillar pod) could not tell me something was wrong!! I have been trying to round up all the parts to hook it up so you all know what just moved to the top of my priority list for tomorrow?????? Thanks again for everyone's help and that is really an easy job and not too $$$$. With that being said I do not know how long the LP has been bad so what kind of shape do you think my Injection Pump is in?? I guess I will have to wait and see.
