LP differences

Anybody know of the lift pumps that have a better backflow prevention valve in them that allows fuel to flow thru freely if the pump fails. My local Diesel shop is telling me these are better than the campaign pumps. Better to the tune of over $100. What's the scoop?

I know the fass will let the fuel flow freely if it quits, but they're pricy

This is a campaign pump w/ a redesigned backflow valve...as explained to me. $230 out the door. They wanted $106 for a Carter stock LP. The tech suggested I buy another stock pump w/ a lower pressure rating and run two, one in the stock location and one w/ a relocation kit back at the tank. Why not just run 1 Fass and bigger line w/draw straw, etc?
