Lp ?

Changed my lift pump today, not as fast as some reported times but it took awhile to figure out the banjo bolt was not metric. I only found one washer on each banjo, sure seemed like there should be one between the bolt and pump body. I didn't drop them or miss them did I? Runs good with 15 psi at idle and no leaks.

The stock banjo's are metric, can't remember what size, so maybe somebody put the hi-flow banjo's in it like mine is, they are 12mm metric threaded but have a standard head. I think the stock ones are 17mm and the hi-flow's are 3/4" or 19mm. And yes, there should be 2 washers per banjo, maybe they are there but stuck somewhere? That happened to mine, I would think it would leak if they were missing. You can get the washers from Geno's or Cummins.

If you are missing a washer it will suck air soon and scare the crap out of you! My friend changed his lp and installed a fp gauge at the same time, three days later with great fp it left him stranded. the shop said you need a new ip, well it was throwing a no comunication code from ip to ecm and we just about gave in and then I found a banjo washer in his driveway! replaced it and the truck is as good as new.
So if I were you I would double check to make sure that you did not drop them or perhaps they just stuck to the bolt head, if you are not totally positive I would go buy some new ones and install them or at least carry them as a "just in case"

Just to make sure I am clear about this I'll try a better description. Reason is I have looked everywhere on the truck and in the driveway and found nothing.

I am talking about a washer between the banjo, not the bolt, and the surface of the pump that the banjo snugs up against. There is a washer on the head of the bolt that seals the bolt to banjo surface. There may even be two stuck together but I don't think so.

I have to leave today on a trip so I'm going out and search one more time.
Thanks

Well, heading out on a long trip. No fuel leak after running in driveway. I did see a gasket in the place I am concerned about on the banjo into the fuel filter so I guess I am missing them. Going to the hardware store to get some faucet washers for just in case and you can be sure I'll be stopping at the first Cummins dealer I see.

After searching under the truck and all the running gear I have got to believe the truck never had the gaskets. Sure seems to me the gaskets from both sides would not have vanished, I would expect to find at least one.

Tried calling three dealers in the 3 million people population center I live in and they have no data on a gasket. Really hard to get info on a Saturday. Got to wonder how they change a LP when they don't stock gaskets.

Thanks for the answers.
