low fuel pressure

I have just had installed a Edge Juice/Attitude. It works good on level 1 & 2, but 3,4,5 I get alarm the lift pump pressue is below 4lbs. Has anyone had the same problem? When Edge was installed I had a new OEM lift pump installed also. It idles at 18-21lbs.

if the pressure is 4lbs at wide open throttle, i wouldn't worry about it.... my pressures are about that at WOT and have been for years................ but how many times and how long do you run at WOT? as for me, almost never

When it drops to 4lbs the Edge unit starts beeping and the chip backs down to a lesser fuel supply so as too protect the Injector pump. (this was Edge techs telling me) They also suggested I ad a Fast Fuel System. When does the money/bleeding stop?

It's actually called/spelled FASS. There are also other fuel systems to compare to.

My performance wounds are scabed over but now I am going to be bleeding drivetrain and suspension. It never ends .

I'm wearing the finish off my wallet pulling it out to keep this thing runnin but I really love the truck. I could find something worse to spend it on.

OK, so here is a little trick to get that winter diesel to flow at the pressure you would like to see. Add a little Howes to your next tank. Get it at the truck stops this time of year. The big rigs use it. Why does this work? I do not know. Does anybody out there have a theory why this works?

Thanks for the Howes suggestion and I will do that, but the temp was in the 60-70 deg range so I think I have other problems

OEM lift pumps are JUNK, depending on what model year truck you have.

I just added a B&D after market fuel pump add on and my fuel pressure does not drop below 10lbs. with my Juice set extreme (5) but it is shuting down because of EGT at 1325deg. I was told that I now need a Bigger Turbo. Do you have any sugestions?

You could put your foot on a diet. ;-)

Do you have exhaust or intake upgrades? Those can drop your EGT a bit.

how much boost are you pulling?
