Just got a Briar Hopper Fuel Pressure Test Guage and have a few questions:

1. On my Fuel Filter Cannister there are 2 test points...

Is the prefilter closest to the drivers side fender ?

Is the postfilter closest to the engine block ?

2. At IDLE...the guage shows 9 PSI...At WOT or reved up to ~2200 RPM...the guage shows 8 PSI...( using what I believe is the prefilter test point )

So...does this mean I'm in the mediocre ground or does this mean I'm in diar need of a new lift pump ?

I have more valid results after taking a drive on PREFILTER

Idle - 9 PSI
Cruisin Down the Rode - 7 PSI
WOT - 4 PSI

I think I'm in the market for a lift pump... :'(

 

You should have measured post filter. That's what the injection pump gets (well after getting through the stock chokebanjo bolts)

Anyway, you should be around 15 idle and no less than 10 at WOT. So go and buy one
Or bomb to a nice new fuel system and be prepared for the box, the injectors the ........ ;D
