leakin oil where from??

leakin oil where from??

got oil leakin down onto my ac compressor. could it be the timing cover?? need some advice 2002 dodge 2500 5spd

i would guess its the oil cooler

Could be oil return line from turbo, try tighting the clamps on the hose. Seen a few of these leaking over the years. Check oil filter also might not be tight or someone didn't wipe up after changing your oil and filter.

to find an oil leak at the bottom of an engine...look for the highest point, ie don't replace the oil pan cause the block is wet, likely it was the valve cover leaking..
I'd wash the engine off, and look for the leak after, you can also get dye (same stuff used for looking for AC leaks) and find the leak with a black light, if you cant find the leak from the obvious places like loose oil filter/turbo drain/

You can also try some talcum powered after the motor has been cleaned, pretty easy to find the leak , then just hose it off.

Crawl under it when running with flashlight andlook up at the vacumn pump power steering jack shaft and look for leak between them. If leaking there is a seal kit available.
