So after doing a lot of reading about the KDP, I decided to check mine. It seems the pin is recessed about 3/16". Does anyone know the diameter of the pin? I measured the hole with my drill index, it's about 11/32" hole. I can't fit the 23/64" drill into the hole. So if the pin is 3/8". might I have the new style case? I'm trying to figure out if I need the tab. Thanks, this is a 1999

 

If its recessed 3/16", you have the newer style case. The old style case, the dowel is just a hair under flush. If the case is raised up where the dowel goes, compared to the adjacent bolt, then its newer style.
