KDP on 24Valve Cummins?

the `98 1/2 to 2002 24V have the KDP inside the timing case just like the 12V engines. 2003 (first year of common rail injection I think) and up they moved the alignment dowel pin out side of the timing case.

Yeah, there is a way to check if the KDP have been addressed.
Take off the front cover and check.
