intake air temp sensor

so i noticed last fall that i was averaging 18mpg in town, and then once the temps started dropping so did my fuel mileage. through the winter my fuel mileage stayed at about 12.5 to 13.0 and now that the temps are slowly climbing to about 50's during the day im seeing 13.7 to 14.0mpg. so i had pulled the IAT sensor and cleaned it but it wasnt that dirty, but im still wondering if just replacing it would help bring my MPG back to where it used to be??

i change my fuel filter every other oil change and also air filter and my LP and IP are just at 2 years old, once a month i add in some power service for a couple tank fills of diesel, im just at a loss as to why my fuel mileage is still so crappy PLEASE HELP

I was gonna suggest winter fuel also.

I just pulled and cleaned my IAT and my overhead is showing about a half mile per gallon increase over the past 450 miles of around town driving. I'm pretty sure the winter blend around here is present till the end of April.

I have read on here before that that is a mpg increasing tip, cleaning the IAT.

I've read that cleaning tip also and I pulled the sensor and cleaned it ad it wasn't all that dirty but I was trying to figure out if the sensor itself was fading and not reading properly so I was just goin to replace it and it's seemed that my fuel mileage has only been increasing with the warmer weather
