First let me start by saying I have noticed diesel leaking for a couple weeks but chalked it up to not replacing the washers with new ones when I added the hi-flo Banjo's. Today the truck started acting like it was missing or not hitting on all cylinders, so I pop the hood and see diesel streaming out of the output side of the injection pump from one of the lines that goes to the injectors.

My question is, should I put the origanal banjo's back on before I have the dealer look at it under warranty? Do you think they will try to say the banjo's caused this, therfore the warranty is void?

 

Make sure the cap nuts on the back side of pump are all tight. The high flow banjos should not be a problem, unless you bent or damaged a line coming out the back of IP while installing.

 

My local dealer actually liked the fact that I installed high flow banjos. Didn't give me any hassle at all.

 

It was a cap nut loose, I fixed it this morning saving a trip to the dealer. I didnt have time to look at it yesterday because I was heading to work when it happened and had to go back and swap cars.
I never thought it would be something so simple. Do the cap nuts come loose often? Must just be all that power shaking them loose
