I don't know.. you tell me.
ok.. to start off with.. i drove my truck from pa to Indianapolis.. and ran into extremly cold weather which gelled my fuel and killed my fuel gauge.. or so i thought.. i talked to a few people about it.. and they thought my gauge broke as well.. it would dropp very slowly over a period of time.. i could tromp on it.. build tons of boost.. and it would never move.. so i agreed.. but after a few days it bugged me.. we pulled my fuel filter cap off to check to see if i had flow.. which i did.. and now my truck missed really bad.. i was told to take my injectors out and clean them really good.. put them in and then bleed the whole system out by cracking the injections lines.... sound good to you?
also.. how do i remove a smarty high idle from my truck.. a friend of mine put #5 in my truck to try it out..took it out.. and now my truck has high idle when its cold.

Did the missing start after you removed the fuel filter lid? what type of fuel pressure gauge do you have , electric or mechanical? Have you pulled the codes? if you want to eleminate a bad injector, try cracking the fitting at each injector, the one that is bad will have no change in RPM or get a lazer heat probe and aim it at each exhaust port and note the temp differences the one that is cold will be the problem.
still pull the codes FIRST, it will help put you on the right path, last thing I'd be doing would be "cleaning" injectors and re-installing them.
You cant remove the hi-idle once you install a smarty, the smarty re-flashes with its Stock program, if you want no hi-idle you have to go back to the dealer for a stock re-flash, WHY would you want to remove it????? it is the best way to ensure your engine retains heat. there is a TSB out there that explains what happens if the engine is run cold too long...bends valves etc. I
m busy looking for someone WITH a Smarty so I can have the hi-idle feature

One last thing......With the very cold temps we've been having in our area, it's a good idea to use anti-gel chemicals. I'm using Power Service(white bottle). There are several other brands, but that's readily available for me. I also carry a bottle of 911 for emergency use.
the truck has a relatively new sending unit on it?. (under a year old) is it possible i got air into my injection pump and it cavitated? it inly misses at low rpms is when is breaks up.. once you get past a certain point.. it runs fine with very very minimal to no breaking up or hesitation at all.
