How do I reset codes?

Is there a way I can reset the codes that come up on the odometer? I tried disconnecting the batteries for a few hours, didn't do it. Thanks for any help.

What are the codes? Maybe it's something that resets everytime you turn the key on or start the truck. I think a code scanner is the only way to really erase the codes.

They are 1693, 0622, 1765. I had AutoZone try to read but they couldn't find any codes and they would not rest for me.

1693 is the companion code saying there are codes set. 0622 has to do with "Field F Control", Generator F Term". 1765 "Mfg Control Transmission".

I'm not smart enough to know what these mean, but maybe it'll give you a place to start.

I believe that the 1765 is because of the TorqLoc. The Gen circuit code has been there for probably two years, no probs with truck. Not sure how to deal with it (I refuse to go to dealer). I suppose I could replace the gen/alternator, but it seems to be operable.

Take the gen/alternator to some place like Autozone and let them test it.

Codes that no longer apply will clear themselves after 10 - 15 starts (don't remember the exact #).... assuming they no longer apply.
