Does anybody know how to remove the fuel injector tubes if one doesn't have the tool 8324 as the service manual suggests?

Or does anyone know where to get the tool to remove the fuel transfer tube prior to pulling the injectors used with the VP44?

 

Just use a small straight screwdriver placed against the outside threaded area of the injector tube. Lightly pry against the cylinder head and the tubes will pop right out. It only takes hand pressure to pop them in and out.

 

Excellent that worked. A dedicated threaded tool (8324) would be best, but the price I paid for that snap-on screw driver sufficed.

 

So, does one put some motor oil on the O-ring and just kind of push it in back into place after injector replacement?

 

yep a little oil will allow the tube to slide right in. without damaging the seal
