Fuel pressure problem again!

I need a fuel pump that will last. I installed a new stock fuel pump on my 01
2500 just 6000 miles and now it is having intermittent problems again. I would like a good pump at a reasonable price that would last. I read about someone
using a Carter pump if anyone has some information on this it would be appreciated. If this is not a factory type install can you recommend a mounting location and what you need to mount it. I wondered if any electric
fuel pump would work or does it have to be designed for diesel?
Thanks

most electric pumps will work as long as they will supply enuff volume/press. take bullydogs pusher pump for an example all it is is a holley blue pump with some extra fuel line and clamps that pump was desingned for race cars ie gasoline and so far most people that have them seam happy, but about any GOOD elctric pump will work
