Fuel leak??

So after my recent VP44 overhaul I have a small fuel leak that I cannot seem to locate. A very small but noticeable amount of fuel is ever present on the top of my filter housing. I'm thinking it may have a small crack but cannot find it.

Anyone have this happen or know where else I should look?

Thanks, Kurt

Maybe a burr on one of the seal rings on the banjos of the fuel lines?

Did your truck get the new fuel line due to the recall or is it too young?

Hey Alpine, it appears on top of the fuel filter housing. The banjo's were put back with new gaskets and I have the FASS 1/2" blue line to the filter housing, then to the vp with a big line kit with jic fittings and a push-lok tee with the fuel pressure pick up installed there. No stock lp in place and the return line is stock....I'm thinking fuel filter gasket/o-ring??

Have you tried the baby powder trick yet?
You might need to install a windscreen to keep the powder there despite the fan though.

I replaced the fuel filter and gasket and she stopped leaking. Still wondering how it got on top of the housing, probably the fan......thanks for your help.

Yep, the fan can cause a lot of fun searching leaks.
Glad you got it fixed.
