Front Driveshaft binding

Short history, I had a skyjacker 4.5 lift put on the last week of July. I also had the front diveshaft rebuilt in July due to a bad u-joint in the cardan. Last week the cardan joint pin snapped due to binding. Took it to driveline shop and truck only has 1" of travel before binding. Have any of you guys had this problem with your lift or leveling kits. Any sugestions for a fix

Thanks

well I can give you my 3 cents. I have a 6" lift and replaced all of my u-joints on the front shaft. I havent had any bind issues on mine. I do have a little play on the slip shaft part due to it extending out. if someone else rebuilt yours you may want to make sure the parts were correct. with your lift you shouldnt have issues on binding. www.quad4x4.com has great replacement stronger parts. also could look at tom woods front shafts as well. if they rebuilt your double cardigan joint. did they put in the right cardigan? when I did mine If I remember I used napa joints super joints. and used the ones with the grease plug on the end cap. I just think either bad install, wrong parts. ? hope this helps alittle

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Perhaps caster is too great.

for front caster how can that be corrected. I shimmed my rear carrier to change angle on the caster. are there different front yokes that could be used for this? just wondering.

actually the rebuild was just new u-joints and rubber bushing on center pin. So cardan is original flex. Can't say as if they adjusted caster when they installed lift. Tried 3 different cardan joints at driveshaft shop and all would only give me 1" down travel before binding.
