I'm looking at getting a SB rally clutch, but it doesnt come with a flywheel. Where is a good place to get one that doesnt cost an arm and a leg?

 

Not familiar with Sb rally clutch. If its one of their single disk like the con o or con ofe then why not just get your flywheel resurfaced. Around here they do them for about $40.

 

It's one of the less expensive ones rated at 350hp. I have no clue where to get it resurfaced at. The one place we have in town I've heard bad things about, so I'd rather stray away.

 

Any machine shop should be able to do it. Most of our parts stores around here can too. Just ask around - you might be surprised at how many places are set up to surface flywheels (at least I was)

 

If you find a place local make sure you read the instructions with the clutch. When I had an ofe it called for a slight taper on the flywheel suface, 3 or 5*, I dont recall which. Not sure if your model will need it also.

 

Why don't you just ask Peter at SBC for the price on a new flywheel while you are ordering the clutch?
