Does anyone know where I can find the serial number for the Cummins diesel engine? I looked and could not find it anywhere.

 

There is a data plate on the top of the timing case kinda even with the VP44. Just stand by the front of the driverside fender and look in, it should be there on the front of the engine. The serial number with be labeled ESN. You might have to move some hoses ot wire looms to read it.

yea... the plate is on the edge of the timing cover - not on the face. You'll have to get on the bumber to read it unless you've got a drop kit and you're 7' tall.
