I went to the dealer today to get the ecm reflashed on my 2001. because of rough idle and surging. When I got the receipt it says pcm reflash I dont know if the pcm and ecm are the same thing I also read that if they do a reflash they have to put a sticker on the radiator crossmember and the ecm but the mech didnt even open the hood so no sticker. Did I just pay 90 bucks for nothing. I also tried to get the high idle function turned on but the Mech said that I couldnt do that on my truck I have a 2001 6spd. Any thoughts ????

 

find someone with a Smarty for a 2nd Gen... load a Smarty software... then go back to stock and you'll have high idle enabled and all of the latest software updates.
