Question Driveline play?

Got a question for the experts. Truck in sig in question. When I come to a complete stop, then accelerate, there is a "feeling" of something pausing then engaging. It's almost like the truck doesn't shift completely to first, then when I push the accelerator, it shifts down and grabs. The truck runs fine down the highway, no whining or vibration from u-joints. I'm kind of leaning towards an electrical problem. The battery cables are clean, I was wondering about speed sensors. I've heard there is one on the rear end and one on the tranny, any other? Links to diagrams or pictures would be nice. I'll keep searching the posts in the meantime. Thanks for any help.

Is it like a quick kick from rear when first start moving? This might indicate splines binding on slip yokes. Let the brake off and let it roll 10" or so before you accelerate. The cure is inpsect drive shaft yokes and lube with super grease of some type. Slick stuff.
Is it more like struggles to take off for just a couple inches then "bang" and accelerates normal? Does it do the same thing in manual low? If the answers are yes and then no, this might indicate the governor pressure solenoid is not cutting gov pressure to zero at a stop. The cure would be service tranny, adjust bands and replace gov pressure sol and gov pressure transducer. Not worth trying to figure which one.

If I let the truck roll, or if I don't come to a complete stop, the problem is less noticeable, sometimes it doesn't even happen. My speedo is inop until the truck reaches about 20 mph. Also, this morning i tried shifting to neutral then back into drive, this didn't help. I'll try the manual low shift and see if that makes a difference. Thanks.
