Do codes reset them selves?
I was meesing with the fuse box and pulled out #9. Now the truck has a p1693. Since i am convinced this was owner induced, if nothing really is wrong, will the code reset it self after so many key starts? Thx

Some codes do reset themselves. Is this the only code that the truck is throwing? P1693 is a companion code set between the PCM and ECM. If the code doesn't go away after a few starts, which I think it should, then you can try unhooking the battery cables for 30 mins or so. If you do decide to do that, then you mind as well reset the apps, it wouldn't do anything but help.

I don't think the code ever goes away unless it's specifically cleared by a diagnostic computer. If the code condition doesn't occur for 3 cycles of the key, and run time of some amount of time I do not know, it will stop lighting the Check Engine light. I went through this when I had a VP44 code because my PM3 wire was loose.
When I was at Cummins, I found that they could see my overheat codes, and how many there were in my ECM, from when I was driving around with a cracked block, having to refill the radiator every 15 miles or so.
I don't know about the Dodge PCM though. Cummins said they could not talk to that one.
