Difference in fuel lift pressure readings?

If I check my fuel pressure at intake on fuel filter I get about 10 lbs at 2000.rpm in neutral. If I take a reading on the injection pump intake line I get about 3 lbs. at 2000 rpm in neutral. Is it possible that the line between filter housing and injection pump is restricting? I put a new fuel filter and the readings are the same.

that would be the only explaination......get the vulcan big line kit....it works....and u wont have to worry anymore.when i added my pusher i removed all the banjos and replaced them with jic fittings, some of the banjos were rusting/corroding internally.

IIRC the allowable pressure drop across the filter is 5 psi. I suppose another 2 could be due to the tubing and banjos.
This is why the usually recommended location for FP reading is after the fuel filter.
