Unhappy dial-up/ Help with codes

Crusing down 1-80 engine cut out several times in 2 miles on a 900 mile trip. Pulled codes 1689 and 1693. I am using dial up and can't search fast enough.

Help.

1689 no communication between ecm and injection pump module. the 1693 is just the companion code.

Question New info- help

Forgot to mention this was the first time pulling w/ the stock trailer since injector swap, new turbo and new head. I did have slight hiccups before the trip under acceleration up hills on interstate.

Got home early this morning, on the flats across nebraska it ran great. Going I-80 west across wyoming every hill I came too it would (buck, hiccup, miss) but different than what I described above. I was going about 65-70 to keep egts safe with the 50 mph headwind. So I just checked the codes again and they came out in this order.....
1689 no comm
1693 companion
1682 what is this?
1689 no comm

I wonder if I should have dodge check codes further to see what the companion code is about?

I do need to get a 4" exhaust because I was able to hit 1200 waaaay to easily and still had alot of pedal left to use if it weren't for the huge miss.

I am going to clean the connections but am wondering if the vp is dying (no white smoke though must be electrical) or if the ecm is dying, also wondering about the crankshaft position sensor.
