Dana 60 exploded view or help

I have developed an intermittent grinding/popping sound coming from what sounds to be my driver side front hub. Would anybody have any ideas as to where I should start looking? I seems to only happen when I turn right, but not all the time. An exploded view of the Dana 60 disconnect axle housing would also be great. Thanks

I replaced the wheel bearing, upper and lower ball joints and u-joint on the passenger side this winter. Wheel bearing came off with the help of a torch. So if I have to take the differential out, I believe I will have to replace the drivers side wheel bearing because I will wreck it trying to remove it. Could it be something with the vacuum engagement of the front end?

the vacuum part is on the passengers side so i dont think that is it. i'd guess that its most likely a u-joint or possibly ball joints. wheel bearings tend to squeek or squeel when they go bad.

The u-joint would be the first suspect. Jack that side up, turn the steering wheel to the left or right, and spin the tire by hand- see if you can see binding or anything else in the u-joint.
Are the wheel bearings on a 2000 different than earlier models? If not, search for a how-to on here to remove wheel bearings. Using the power steering to pop it off makes it so much easier, then be sure to put it back together with anti-sieze.

Thanks. It turned out to be the wheel bearing. I changed out the u-joint at the same time.
