cummins flow rate

I plan to install a primary fuel water separater on my frame rail. it is Napa 3192, with flow rate of 6-8 gpm, 10 micron. I already have installed a vulcanperformance 'Big line kit' from tank to inj pump. using OEM lift pump on rail. OEM filter still in place. I just want to filter as much out before fuel gets to OEM filter, and IP. will this be enough of a flow (6-8 gpm) to not cause a restriction, or unnecessary load on the OEM lift pump. I am getting 14 PSI at idle and 10 'wOT, and about 12 at 2000 rpm. thx for all info.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Buy and use clean fuel and your filtering worries are gone. Using fuel from a farm fuel tank is bad news. Even worse if removed from equipment.
6 gpm is more than sufficent for needs of IP.

Just for the info, the stock carter lift pump free flows about 100 GPH on a good day.
