Cummins Dealer Injector Pump Part #
Cummins Dealer Injector Pump Part #
Well, I'm gonna try my luck. IP went out 4 days ago at 107,000miles, don't want to pay anyone what they want to do it. I'm going to try and buy the Injector Pump from Cummins not the Dealer and install it myself. I need the Cummins Dealer part number, and if anyone has any experiances that would help me I would appreciate it.
Thanks Again

I wouldn't buy the pump from Cummins, you'll get a better deal going through Doug Smith (JetPilot) on the site, #717-557-7060.
It's pretty straight forward just make sure you have a gear puller and take your time. Make sure the pump is set so the timing key is at 12:00 before pulling the pump. You can bar the engine over using the alternator nut if you don't have a barring tool.
The injector lines come off in two sets, so remember once you get the pump in tighten the injector lines that will be hard to reach. Oh yeah, don't drop the pump key in the engine! Good luck.

I just replaced mine today. Bought it from Midwest Fuel Injection. I think it was $1200.00 for injection pump and new lift pump and fuel filter. No shipping charges or core charge as long as you return core in 30 days and they pay for shipping both ways. I had a local shop do the install because of time limitations and they charged me $350.00.
