Im servicing my cooling system right now and I was wondering if the engine block has a drain anywhere on it? I just finished washing the radiator and man was it plugged up! Thanks for the help guys and gals.

No block drain as far as I know... But park the truck on a downhill slope to aid in draining the block.

Take the lower radiator hose loose at the engine and get the rear of the engine higher than the front.

Yep....also take off the thermostat housing & thermostat. Then stick a garden hose in there & let it fill up the engine & release lower radiator hose again....this is how I do mine....works great.

Thanks for all the replies. I got the whole system flushed out and back together. I put a new thermostat in and I have a new radiator cap coming. I went to the dealer to buy the cap because all of the caps at kragen, auto zone, pep boys all looked real cheesy. I also went with a cummins t-stat and I switched to a 180 instead of the factory 190. Where I live we are going to be into triple digits by next week! Man its going to be a long summer.
