Last week my check engine light came on in my truck and i got out the scanner and checked to see what become of them.

It was.

P0337 Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Voltage Too Low

P0236 Turbo/Super Charger Boost Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance

And then i parked the truck until i could get a chance to check it out and then my check engine light went off but the truck feels down on power still and doesn't smoke like it should.

Does the 337 code mean a bad CKP all together? And what about the 236? I have a boost fooler but i have been running it for quite sometime now without a issue.

What should i do first? I don't want to drop a bunch of money and start replacing things right off the bat.

 

So i think my boost fooler my be causing a problem with the boost code and then my crank sensor is just bad. I am going to purchase one this week and see if that takes care of the problem and just bypass the boost fooler also.

 

had the same code for the crank sensor, the engine would surge, felt like 3 ac's were trying to kick on and the tach would drop to o. droped the starter and replaced the sensor, been fine since

 

the crank sensor isn't that bad to replace, kinda in an awkward spot under the fuel filter, and it costs about $45 at a parts store.
