Code 0341 real issue!!!!
OK, I have been getting the code p-0341 which I know is a cam sensor code. I have had one go out on me befor, but this is more indepth.
I noticed that I am not making as much power as I should be and on my last dyno run the truck started to defuel at 2400rpm. About the same rpm my tach goes crazy at. Friends watching me dyno said it sounded like I let of the throttle and went WOT again.
The only time my tach will lose signal and throw the code it when I have my TST on a higher setting(7, 8, or 9). Ther tach will flop around once or twice and come right back and the CEL will come on.
My A/C compressor is also always engaging and disengaging. not sure if it is related or not.
I have tried a friend's Edge comp and I couldn't get the tach to flop or to throw a CEL. I have also tried with the Smarty loaded and unloaded. Only happens when the TST is on a higher setting.
I don't think it is the TST at this point as I have sent it back and they have checked it and upgraded it to the Comp version a month ago and the tach thing has been going on for several months.
Help?

Unless its a loose wire, I'd about bet it a cam sensor, Often they can cause a wide range of issues, Thats why sometimes its hard to diagnosis of previous vehicles. I'm not quite understanding why you think it would be anything other than the cam sensor!
PS I read now that it only dose it on the higher levels,
Are you saying you dont have this issue with the TST Installed at all? Have you cleared codes and driven for sometime with the TST off?
