My check engine light came on friday afternoon. I was just driving down the highway. I do have an Edge EZ. Before I left on Sunday, I took the EZ off, and within 30 miles, the light went off. What does that mean? Sould I put the EZ back on?

 

I just went through the same thing with a guys truck, it is probably a MAP sensor code like 0236 "too high of voltage"...do this sequence with your ignition switch.."On-off-on-off-on" then the codes will come up where the milage is located after a few seconds then check in the Haynes manual or post them here so we can tell you what they are.
P.S.--The truck didn't loose any power right with the box on? just the light?

 

No, it didn't run any different, the light just came on. I didn't have my manual with me, and I didn't think to get the code and write it down. I put the EZ back on this morning and drove probably 15 miles, and the light didn't come back on. Hopefully it won't come back, but I'll write it down if it does again.

 

I took out my Power Puck the other day and when I tried to put it back in the check light came on. What I did was get some dielectical grease and clean up the connections. Took care of it for me. ;D
