I bought this tranny with a parts truck I bought and was told it was for a 2001 3500 dodge. called the auto salvage but they didnt specify if it was for diesel or gas. It is obviously dodge tranny but not sure of application or model of tranny

the truck turns out to be a 2000 model

any and all help greatly appreciated

i dont know if the input and output shafts size would be different for gas/diesel. you might try that route and see if anything comes up.

 

Seems like a Dodge parts department should be able to ID from the part #.

 

After looking up the number in the mopar parts manual, it crosses to 2001 be,br 4x2 47re from a turbo diesel. Hope this helps.

 

I'll also say it is a 47RE. Looks just like the one I just pulled out of my 2001.5. Same electrical hookups.
