you could make a smoke switch but you might need a chip for the smoke switch

haha sounds like the only way is a chip, i guess a chip would be ok, as long as it's a good one and as long as it doesn't effect my 53 block..

It'll smoke like hell if you blow an intercooler boot off! Of course, you'll also get NO power, and out the roof EGTs! Not really recommended. Personally, I'd much rather have more power, not more smoke.

my truck wasnt chipped at all and never was. the 53 blokc cracked in that. good friend of mine has a 53 block and he been running 50 psi with fire rings injectors turbo. his block is still good. i dont think a chip will make any difference in the likelihood of the block cracking

just be courteous when driving on public roads. blowing smoke all over gives everyone a bad rep. sure sometimes someone deserves it just dont over do it.

What do you guys think about the smarty programmer? I am looking it. It's cheaper than the edge juice with attitude. You just plug and play with the smarty it seems.

WHY do you want smoke??...... install stage 3 injectors , you'll get all the smoke you want (more power too)

check youtube for a smoke switch, there's a guy on there that shows how to wire one up. I think you'll need the chip in order to keep from throwing codes every time you flip the switch cause it's wired into your map sensor I believe.

I thought about it once then thought about washing down the cylinders with diesel fuel and how I did'nt have spare 5.9's or trees with US dollars for leaves.

And why in the world would one want more smoke? I'd much prefer no smoke at all and more power.

i guess being younger i like the black smoke. But thats just me. Power would be good to, but i am new to the 24v world and don't anything about the pumps and such on these trucks and i wasn't sure if it was anything like the older ones. Just don't see many of these trucks smoke unless they are chipped or injedctors or something. My main intent was to see if there was anything simple do just to get a little smoke like my old truck would put out. But now i'm looking at a smarty or edge juice with aditude.
