Good video, always looks soo easy when seen on youtube. Best to use mechanic wire to hold the caliper up. Otherwise it will always fall down on you when you lease expect it to. Ouch.

ball joints

OK. So this is how the replacement went. The procedure using the steering to press out the axle bearing worked great. I spent more time finding (sae, metric) sockets, and the ball joint press adapter(harbor freight) than the job took. Top joint pressed thru the top of the joint so I had to use a socket to press the remaining part out the top. the bottom joint I put pressure on the ball joint and a wack of a hammer broke it loose. I found the 43mm/1 11/16 axle socket at Sears. Not too bad of a job. I give it a 7 out of 10. My pleasure is that the shop I got an estimate($850.00 at said I would F it up and have to be towed to them. Ha ha. total cost upper/lower joints and 2 U joints $323.00 from Rock Auto and about $30.0 for misc sockets. 18 pack of Mic Ultra.
