Back to stock

Having a little trouble passing emission tests. If I went back to stock injectors, just for the test, without changing anything else will the smoke go away? All I care is the smoke goes away for 1/2 a day. I'm not sure how its going to act with the larger turbo and stock injectors.

A Smarty set on 0 will help you pass without a problem.

Maybe you could borrow one for the test if you don't want to buy one. If you were nearby I would let you use mine for a day.

I agree with Ram1999, borrow a Smarty, use setting 0. Check to see if there is someone in the CO chapter that will let you use one. You can also check with Bob Wagner, he would probably send you one for the cost of shipping and promise of return, that is of course you decide not to keep it after trying some of Smarty's other programs..

Why do you need one in Colorado? What I've heard, is they are no longer required in this state.

Diesel vehicles are to be tested as follows: Light duty vehicles with a GVWR of 14,000 lbs or less are exempt from an emissions test if purchased brand new for 2 model years and then tested every year after that. Heavy duty vehicles with a GVWR of 14,001 and more are exempt from an emissions test if purchased brand new for 4 model years and then tested every other year until it reaches its tenth year and then the vehicle needs to be tested every year taken from co web site

Wow. So far none of that in New Mexico. I'm not looking forward when it happens.

I would rather move than go back to stock just for an emissions test.
