Axle questions

First, what the the two or three wires on my front axle for, they all plug in to a point on the passengers side tube two are thin and black, the other two are thick and red and black in color.

Two, is a Dana 60 from a 2003 the same as my 98.5 it appear to lack a place to plug these wire in, other then that is looks the same.

First off, the 2003 trucks have AAM axles in them and not dana's. So they won't be the same.

As for the wire, I am not sure unless it has something to do with the axle fork that enages for 4wheel drive. I would have to take a look to be sure though. This is just a guess.

It sounds like the vacuum lines to the CAD actuator, and the wiring for the sensor telling you its engaged. CAD = Central Axle Disconnect, it engages the the front axle.

Figured that out after a coupler days of peeking around the boards, thanks for the info though
