Automatic Transmission Cooler lines. Leaking..

It looks like i lost a clip and my cooler lines have started rubbing a hole in each other.

Is there another option beside purchasing new/used lines?

Those lines don't have a lot of pressure on them and a local trans shop just replaces them with appropriate rubber lines and good hose clamps. I had one of the fittings leak real bad on mine. I cut the connector off with a cutoff wheel (carefully) and slid a clamp over it and has been that way for over a year.

thanks for your input russ. I am just looking for a permant fix.

I guessing i will probably get a few sections of fluid rated hose and cut out the section that was leaking and put the hose on with a few hose clamps.

One of those lines does have some pressure right out of the trans.

I would recommend changing them with metal lines just for piece of mind. As you can see, a failure was not a tranny killer. May not be the case with rubber. JMO.

If you don't have the crossover line with the trans temp port, this may be a good time to add it.

But they could cause the same problem again down the road. I am going to put the truck up on a lift and get a good look at it this afternoon. I might even just do SS braided lines and call it a day.
