Alliant Power Fuel Pump

I was talking with our diesel injection store, and the dude told me that ALliant Power makes a new pump ( its $189) that bolts in the stock place. He also said, it has a bypass valve ( or something) that if it fails, the VP can still pull fuel through the pump. Then he said, since it is a volume pump and not a pressure pump, my "New" gauges would be useless. Genos says, they have a new 40 psi pump for $300 ( and something) that carries a 4 year warranty but they are on back order for a few weeks....What should i do? I plan on keeping the truck bone stock.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Don't need 40 PSI to the IP.

Geno's is probably talking about the new miniature Fass pump that mounts in the stock location. It has a 4yr warranty, but I wouldn't run it on a truck with mods, it drops to 6-7psi very fast. Bone stock trucks only need apply.

The Alliant pump is nothing more than another Carter pump, same old song and dance. Your gauges still operate the same way, nothing different.
