Got a 38# about 6 miles up the Little Su. from the boat launch on the 5th. Limited on reds this past weekend at Klutina R. (Copper Cntr.), but kings aren't there yet. AK RAM, where did you get your fish? Also, it may be my lack of smarts on all the rules, but where can you legally keep two kings in one day?

My Dad has a 98.5 and last winter it had 120K on it, he then drove it from Anchorage Alaska to Cancun Mexico and back.. just a little 15,000 mile trip. No problems. Oh ya, he was pulling a 35 ft fiver that weighs 14K lbs the whole way.

Get in your truck and drive, the AK highway is just a road.

Ship Creek. Had about an hour to kill and thought we would go sling some lead. Not much time for fishing lately…..wife's thesis is due Thursday. We both hooked up within 20 minutes. High tide. Of course, she caught the big one. You can keep two per day, per person, off the beach in Seward and you don't have to record them on your license. I try to hit that every year at least once.

Exactly 198,002 when I let it go. One lift pump at 90K and half a dozen fuel heaters since I moved to AK. Original trans. Best truck I ever owned.

The Deshka is HOT HOT HOT right now. I am at work on the slope and the two guys that just came back up today spent the last two days on the Deshka. They got 30 kings, yep I said 30 kings. I saw the pictures 8 guys fishing out of a jet boat and the entire bow of the boat was filled with 25-50 lb kings. I just about wet myself....

Please take this advice from someone who lives in
Whitehorse, which is 920 miles up the Alaska highway:
If you're coming up here loaded with a camper on your back, don't do it unless you're wearing 10-ply tires! Otherwise, bring your fishin' gear and come on up! Clear, cloudless days here...92F today!
