Ok, listen to this. The other day, i had to pull my buds z71 outta some mud. We hooked up and i had to gently yank him out. Had to yank harder than i originally planned. Anyway, i got him out and on the drive home, my ABS light came on and the BRAKE light stayed on, continuously. I pulled over and double checked that the parking brake wasnt engaged. When i got home, i killed the engine, pumped the break pedal 3 times, then cranked her back up. Both lights were still on, and the parking break wasnt engaged. My bud called me up a few minutes later and said that his ABS light came on his way home, but went off before he got back.
The next morning, i started her and both lights were acting normal again. Any ideas what might have caused this, esp. in 2 different trucks??

If you spun your tires a lot, that would set the ABS light on.

Couple of starts with it normal it would reset itself.

Keep an eye on your ABS and brake light and the speedometer. If the ABS and break light come back on and your speedometer jumps around from 0 to 20 mph, you may have to replace the speed sensor which is located on the top of your rear differential. Just a reminder !
