99 Crank, Long Start after Fuel Tank R&R
Actually, the return line doesnt need to have backpressure to work. there is a fitting on the vp44 that handles the pressurizing of the pump hsg. I put a vulcan on my truck and have had no problems with starting. My return line is hooked up to the aluminum insert and just dumps into the tank. Be sure you install it correctly though, because the suction tube needs to go all the way to the bottom. When you pull the module (which has three sections) out to install it, the bottom part slides up and down so you need to pay attention to where it rides while in the tank so you know how long the suction tube needs to be. Then make sure you drill all the holes where they tell you so fuel gets where it needs to be. Fishin2deepu works at vulcan and is an excellent source for info if you have problems. He hangs out in the performance forum more. You can also check the member list, he is on the 29th page under F.
