7 Codes!

Hey all,
New member to the forum but have consulted it several times about other issues. I have an '02, 24V, 5.9L with 230K and it is having some issues. I took it in to the shop the other day because the check engine light came one and the temp gauge spiked and then went down to 0 and then pegged etc. Pulled over and verified the engine was not overheating and then when I continued to drive I started to get throttle issues and poor engine idle and acceleration problems. Took to to the shop for a code read and 7 codes came back. P0121, P0217, P0237, P0562, P1488, P0606, and P0117. The only maintenance issue I have had with this truck is a TPS about 3 months ago which was replaced. The shop is saying the ECM is shot but from what I am reading I think there is a short somewhere.

Looking for any insights.

From: Austria Europe
P0121 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/ Performance Problem
P0237 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
P0562 A/C pressure sensor low voltage(Chrysler)
P0117 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Low Input
All of those sound like the 5V sensor supply from circuit A has an intermittent short to gound.

P0217 Engine Overtemp Condition
Misinterpretation due to other faults
P0606 PCM Processor Fault (This would be bad!)

Since it started with the water temperature I'd also start by verifying the water temp sensor and it's wiring.
Then look at the MAP and IAT sensors, they can also get wiring problems.

AlpineRAM, thank you for your information. I am taking it over to a buddy who is a diesel tech and he is going to take a look. He doesn't think it is the ECM, he thinks there might be a short somewhere that is causing some of the issue. I will keep you posted.
