47re hard shifting out of first gear

The other day my truck started shifting very slowly out of first gear--revving very high before shifting hard out of first. It only does it right after first starting the truck. Once it's running, the problem does not reappear until shutting truck down and starting again. If I put in neutral at a stop sign and then put it back in drive, it shifts normally. On the other hand, if I shut it down at a stop sign and start out again, it revs real high and shifts hard outta first again.

I checked the throttle valve cable and it doesn't seem to have much slack. Also tried the apps reset. Any Ideas?

I wasn't coming up with much searching this forum, but I just saw a recent post by another member describing the same problem.

I have bent the tv cable bracket forward and the shifting seemed to clean up a little bit--shifts out of first at closer to 2k rather than 2500k plus. Just seems odd that it would be the tv cable since this pretty much happened overnight.

I just ordered a Transmission governor pressure solenoid and will replace that and adjust the bands when it arrives (last time I adjusted the bands was about 16 months ago).

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
GPS is a good possibility. Also the RPM sensor on left rear of tranny could have something to do with issue. However will generally hit 2nd gear if the sensor is bad. For your info.

It was the speed sensor on rear driver's side of tranny. $18 part. I'm really glad it was such a cheap fix. Thanks.
