3:55 or 4:10 ??????
I am planning on purchasing another dodge 01-02 6sp, and i recall something about in the vin# you were able to tell if the truck had the 3:55 or 4:10 gear ratio? Sorry its been a while...i strayed away to gm land....lol
Welcome to the DTR. 
With VIN # you can get a 'Build Sheet' from Dodge Parts Dept. It will list gear ratio, and all components/options installed at factory..
Nothing in the VIN #, per se, to tell you.

If I open my glove compartment on my 2001 there is a smaller "build sheet" It states that I have 4.10's.. On my 1998 1500 on the bottom side of the hood there is the same thing.. Stating it has 3.55's
