29 tooth or 23 tooth t-case

How do I tell if I have a 23 or 29 tooth t-case???

My transmission and my t-case are smoked....

Not sure which I have, been trying to find a used t-case but don't know which one I need.

Just shooting from the hip here. Does your data tag(either under the hood or in glove box) indicate that you have the standard T-case, or heavy duty? I would only guess that the HD may have the extra teeth. Regards.

Yeah, I don't think that is the difference as I know my case is standard duty, the parts houses still ask if it's 23 or 29 tooth.

My case has a NP 241 DLD tag on it.

Small input 23-spline is usually for the automatics, larger 29-spline input is for the manual 5- and 6-speeds
