I'm looking at a 1998 3500 w/24 valve Cummins and 5 spd manual. It is a quad cab SLT. What are the things to look out for? I've heard about some front end problems but unsure of what they are and what models were affected.

I will be using it to two a 10,000 lb boat. What are the best power upgrades for the 24 valve? This will be my first Dodge, so I appreciate any info.

Lift pump pressure, should not drop below 8 PSI.
Some models would pull to the right.
Check maintenance records through your dealer to see if the 5th gear nut has been fixed. All the dealer needs is the vin number.
