I am getting the 1693 companion code and the real code is 'turbo boost limit exceeded' what would cause this and is it anything I should loose sleep over? how do I rectify the problem

 

This is what I know to be true.

P1693 DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM

P0234 Turbo Boost Limit Exceeded

sometimes I get the p1693 code....and no others. I just clear it and not worry about it. I dont know about the overboost problem.

 

Check you wastegate connections... The little hose on the turbo... They have been know to fail... Or the wastegate is sticking close on you...

 

I had my turbo replaced under warranty when the code got thrown. Dealer found the wastegate stuck. Chrysler says R&R on that one.
