Put more fuel in it and try bleeding the lines at the head and see what happens. You need to know what the fuel pressure is.

Fill it up and start your troubleshooting from there.

Fill it up and crack the lines at the head. "bump" the started and leave the key on for 30 sec. Do that 2 or 3 times. There is a test port on the side of the injection pump i believe, use a pen to press in on the center of the port if you dont get any fuel to come out them im guessing your lift pump is bad... This happened to me, the LP was buzzing but want pumping any fuel.. Replaced the LP and all works well now, however everytime u run out of fuel it takes life off your VP44... just my 2 cents... Good luck!

Like the rest of the guys...
  • Fill the tank with fuel at least 15 gallons
  • Check to see if there is pressure from the LP pump. Yes a LP can buzz and be dead too.
  • Now crack some injection lines and bleed the air. If no fuel comes out while cranking then you got a bad VP44.
  • Also you might want to check for codes... Pray not to see P0216...
At this point it should start...

I HIGHLY SUGGEST you get a fuel pressure gauge installed...
