Got a guy who has a 01' that runs on boi-diesel. He has a filter and lift pump mounted on the frame. The truck starts fine and runs fine but likes to just.."shut off" while driving. He said it does it more when the truck is at normal temp. The "check engine" light isnt on. Im thinking the vp is going bad but im not sure because I know nothing about bio-diesel. Any help would be appreciated.....

 

I haven't heard of biodiesel killing vp44 but who could say it didn't. Do you know what the current fuel pressure is? Have you check for codes?

The difference between biodiesel and regular diesel is it's got higher vescosity and lower btu rating. I've notice a drop of 2psi with 100percent biodiesel and not much difference with 50-20 blend.

Biodiesel would have nothing to do with the truck just shutting down. He has another problem and it sounds electrical to me.
